The penny slot machines were once ago a joke among the serious gamblers but now you can play with only one cent at a time.
The penny slot machines accounted for 36% at Indiana casinos only in July, up from 8% in 2005.
In the past years, Nevada casinos added more than 7,000 penny slots and removed the machines that required bigger bets.
The officials thought at first that it was stupid to replace the slots, but numbers showed something great.
The penny slots are such a hit because the gamblers are paid off more often, even though they bet less so the prizes are smaller and because the penny slots are full of visual glitz and betting variety.
The penny machines are video slots games with multiple lines, between 5 and 30 and some of them even have extra features like bonus or gamble screens, free spins and even side jackpots.
The casinos make also big money on these slots, for example in Missouri, the penny slot machines account for 42% of bets and 63% of casino profits.
