Swedish Poker Player Wins EPT Copenhagen

The Swedish poker player Anton Wigg, 22 year-old, won the European Poker Tour Copenhagen event. The player outlasted a field of 423 players and collected the first prize of DKK 3,675,000 (434,436). The 22 year-old poker player qualified to the European Poker Tour Copenhagen event via a PokerStars satellite During the tournament, he played an aggressive game and he eliminated the Italian player, Francesco De Vito, after three hours and forty-five minutes of head-up play. It just feels so wonderful right now. I was in real trouble many times, but I kept my cool and told myself never to give up and I am so proud to have come through, said the winner. The final day started with nine players instead of the usual eight and the total prize pool was of 1,909,000. The event took place between the 15th and the 21st of February at Casino Copenhagen in the SAS Radisson Hotel. The next European Poker Tour event happens in Berlin from the 2nd until the 7th of March.
