PokerStars announced its involvement in the Empire State Hold'em Championship at Tuning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona, New York. The Isle of Man licensed free online poker website will sponsor the upcoming championship that it is set to take place from August 14th to August 18th.

The Empire State Hold'em Championship will feature a $2,500 buy-in main event.
PokerStars arranged qualifying events on pokerstars.net, where players can win their seats into the championship. The packages worth $4,000 each and include the main event buy-in, six nights of accommodation and other travel expenses.

Jason DiBenedetto, Director of Poker Operations at Turning Stone Resort and Casino, said: “We are very excited about our new partnership with PokerStars.net and look forward to welcoming players to Turning Stone Resort for this premier poker event. There will be preliminary events beginning on August 9 leading up to the main event and several events running after the main event through August 22.”

Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona was opened in 1993. It has 32 poker tables, plus 60 additional tournament tables, championship golf courses and many restaurants, offering Vegas style gaming and entertainment.
