When it comes to gambling, the gamblers are naturally born superstitious and most of them follow at least one superstition, which they truly believe it will increase their chances of winning.
I recently discovered a survey which says that 80% of the gamblers believe in superstitions or they carry lucky items with them.

Here is a list of the most common superstitions among gamblers:
Many gamblers have different rituals, for example, they may choose to wear a specific lucky item of clothing. They wear red clothing, or they have a favourite color while playing in a casino;
When they are playing in a land-based casino or with a live dealer at online casinos, some gamblers refuse to play the game if they think a certain dealer brings them “bad luck” and they may ask the dealer to be replaced;
Some gamblers think that the $2 or the $50 bills are unlucky, so they do not accept to be paid with these bills;
It brings “bad luck” to count your money during a gambling session. Kenny Rogers even immortalized this superstition in one of his songs singing “You never count your money when you sitting at the table, there’ll be time of enough for counting when the dealings done”;
Do not cross your legs when playing poker because you “will cross out your good luck”;
Do not use the main entrance of a land-based casino because it is coursed;
Singing or whistling while gambling and breaking a mirror are bad luck signs as well;
Avoid seeing nuns or monks before going to a casino;
Do not touch someone's shoulder while he is gambling;
And here is the superstition I personally like the most: females are more likely to win during their period!!

The list can go on, but only as long as you don't let your superstitions to control your life, or as long as choosing to follow a superstition do not harm anyone.
Believing in something that will bring you good luck can actually be beneficial because optimism makes your life happier and more exciting.
