Viktor “Isildur” Blom has recently become richer by more than half a million dollars at PokerStars.com.

The controversial player, who joined PokerStars Team Pro on December 7th last year, has faced famous opponents such as Mike “gordo16” Gordon, Mitch “LooneyGerbil” Carle, Dan “jungleman12” Cates, Phil “Mr. Sweets28” Galfond and Kanu7, and won around $630k over the past couple of days.

Sunday, Viktor Blom will face Eugene Katchalov in the next installment of the SuperStar Showdown. The two players will play 2500 hands of $50/$100 No Limit Hold'em simultaneously on four table. PokerStars users will be able to watch the two players, “MyRabbiFoot” and “Isildur1”, in action and learn from their game.

Eugene Katchalov has just won the $100k buy-in Super High Roller event at the 2011 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, beating Daniel Negreanu in the heads-up game and cashing in the first place prize of $1.5 million. The American professional poker player has also had several cashes in World Series of Poker events, a European Poker Tour event in 2005, and a win in the 2007 Bellagio III's $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em event. His total live tournament winnings exceed $6 million.

The 2,500-hand match played over four tables of $50/$100 No-Limit Hold'em will be Isildur1's fourth SuperStar Showdown challenge. The match is set to take place on February 13th at 3 pm ET on the SuperStar Showdown event held at PokerStars.

Meanwhile, Daniel Negreanu, who will be the next famous opponent for Viktor Blom, is training for a very special match.
