Hungarian Player Wins WPT L.A. Poker Classic

The Hungarian poker player Andras Koroknai won the World Poker Tour L.A. Poker Classic 2010, outlasting a field of 745 players, which included poker pros such as Daniel Negreanu, Carlos Mortensen, or Johnny Chan. It only took a few hours and just 94 hands played at the final table for Andras Koroknai to become millionaire. The first player to leave the final table was Michael Kamran, followed by Jean-Claude Moussa, Gevork Kasabyan and Tri Huynh. The final battle took place betweeen Koroknai and Raymond Dolan. Andras Koroknai had an overwhelming chip advantage of 13:1 and Dolan finished the second. He cashed out the impressive amount of $1,002,710. The winner of the World Poker Tour L.A. Poker Classic 2010 received $1,788,001 for his first place victory along with a WPT bracelet. “It feels excellent. I’m going to spend the money. All of it,” he said. Here are the final table results: 1st place: Andras Koroknai - $1,788,040 ; 2nd place: Raymond Dolan - $1,002,710 ; 3rd place: Tri Huynh - $665,140 ; 4th place: Gevork Kasabyan - $450,580 ; 5th place: Jean-Claude Moussa - $321,840; 6th place: Michael Kamran - $246,740.
