Cornell Student Won Over $4 million By Playing Online Poker
24/02/2010, Online poker
Cornell student Brian Hastings'10 won over $4 million, the largest single-day profit in the online poker history. Brian Hastings, who is a senior at the Cornell University, was studying for the final exams, when he realized he had a hard time concentrating and staying focused, so he decided to take a break and to play online poker. Hastings loved playing poker and he has been winning big for a few years, but nothing so big as his last prize when he played against the Swedish player Isildur1 on the 8th of December 2009. Hastings, who has played online since he was 17 year-old and now he plays 10 hours a week, prepared himself in order to take on Isildur1 by analyzing thousands of Isildur1's hands, studying his weaknesses during his games. Isildur1 lost the $4.2 million in one single session. The game took place at the $500-$1,000 pot-limit Omaha tables at Full Tilt Poker. The lucky winner said the most of the $4.18 million pot will go into investments. He also donated some of his winnings to charities and bought his parents a trip to Italy. Related news
