Max Parker, a 51 year-old British designer has created the most expensive poker chip set in the world. The extravagant jewellery set was valued at £4.4 million ($7 million).
The poker chip set features 384 white gold chips boasting precious stones and four platinum-plated decks. The poker set has around 22,364 stones, with 1,012 karats and 12.5 kilos of white gold. It also includes a dealer button made of 18 karats white gold and with two rows of diamonds as well.
The white chips are set with white diamonds, the red ones are lined with rubies, the green pieces have emeralds, the blue have sapphires and the black chips have black diamonds.
“This is not something your ordinary poker player will be able to afford and is aimed at the billionaire playboys,” Parker said in a press release. “Already we have a few people interested in making a purchase.”
“We're talking about the super rich who are on their yachts and wanting something to stun their guests with. Poker can sometimes be thought of as something quite seedy and I wanted to inject it with a bit of razzmatazz,” he added.
The British designer has also created other impressive versions of games such as Monopoly. Max Parker says his extravagant creations are made for entertaining the billionaire playboys of the world and their guests in luxury.
