Bingo Becomes More Popular Among Young Players

Bingo games have become very popular among young players in the past couple of years. Online Bingo in the United Kingdom is already dominated by young players, with the average of an online Bingo player of 25 years old. A recent study on Bingo players, conducted by the leading UK Bingo Portal, BingoPort.co.uk, has organized all the 80,000 online Bingo players in the following groups: Veterans/Traditionalists (born before 1945), Baby Boomers (born between 1946 to 1954), Generation X (1965 - 1980) and Generation Y (1981 – 2001). According to the research, 39 percent of all active players belong to generation X, 34 percent of them belong to Generation Y, while the Baby Boomers and the Veterans represent 24 percent, respectively 3 percent of the active players. The British study, which is based on the player statistics and bingo registrations, shows that the number of online bingo players under the age of 45 year-old has increased by 62 percent in the past ten years. The United Kingdom counts 3.2 million active bingo players, 700,000 of whom are aged between 18 to 25. Women represent 88 percent of all bingo players and they are aged around 47 years old, while male players are around 37 year-old. 38 percent of the Bingo British players play online daily, 15 percent play around three times a week and only 8 percent play only once a month.
