03/05/2011, Poker Tournaments
American Taylor Von Kriegenbergh has just won the World Poker Tour Seminole Hard Rock Showdown, collecting the fabulous first place prize of $1,122,340. At the $10,000 buy-in tournament, the young player outlasted a field of 433 players to take down the trophy, a WPT bracelet, and a seat in the $25,000 WPT Championship, which will run later this month from 14th to 20th of May at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. Kriegenbergh entered the final table as a chip leader with a 4.384 million stack, followed by Justin Zaki with 2.197 million and Abbey Daniels with a 2.192 million stack. Before winning the WPT bracelet and the Seminole Hard Rock Showdown trophy, Kriegenbergh's previous life time tournament earnings were of only $200,000. “My success is, clearly, 100 percent attributed to luck,” he said to the WPT after his victory. “That's how I got here this far. I'm just very lucky. I have good karma and I don't know, the cards just fell my way.” The final table results were as follows: 1. Taylor Von Kriegenbergh - $1,122,340; 2. Curt Kohlberg - $586,109; 3. Justin Zaki - $415,680; 4. Abbey Daniels - $286,819; 5. Allen Bari - $211,997; 6. Tommy Vedes - $166,272. Related news
