14/01/2011, Online poker
Jonathan Duhamel, the 23-year-old Canadian poker player who won the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event, has joined the team PokerStars pro. Thanks to this partnership, the player joins famous poker pros and five out of the last ten WSOP winners, such as: Chris Moneymaker (2003 WSOP Main Event winner), Greg Raymer (2004), Joe Hachem (2005), Peter Eastgate (2008) and Joe Cada (2009). Although many assumed Duhamel was already a member of the Team PokerStars Pro since last year, the official announcement wasn't made until two days ago. Duhamel will also join famous players like Daniel Negreanu, Bertrand Grospellier, Vanessa Rousso, Vanessa Selbst and the controversial player Viktor 'Isildur1' Blom. Commenting on the new deal, Duhamel said: “I want to be playing the biggest tournaments in the world. I'm going to do my best to pull off another big score.” The 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event represents Duhamel's most significant achievement, failing to cash in other major poker events, but according to his statements, he has big aspirations for the nearest future. As of 2010, Jonathan Duhamel's live tournament winnings exceed $9 million. Related news
