Norwegian Wins European Masters Of Poker III

Stefan Hansen is a Norwegian poker player who won the first European Masters of Poker season III title. The player outlasted a field of 213 players taking down the 34,160 first place prize. The final hand saw Stefan Hansen moving all in with pocket sixes and Yohas Avidani from Israel calling with pocket threes. The board showed K-9-2-A-K and the Norwegian player was crowned the winner of the tournament. Hansen also scooped an additional 10,000 for taking the event down. Last year's Gran Canaria winner was Marciej Lipny from Poland, who defeated a field of 287 competitors, taking home 66,240. The final table results and payouts were as follows: 1. The 1,100 buy-in event, which took place at the Casino Las Palmas in the Canary Islands will be succeeded a second stop at the Casino Estoril, Lisbon, Portugal, from March 23rd to 26th, 2011.
