The greater the amount you invest, the greater the payments to be expected. Each time we gamble, the payments are directly proportionate to the investments.

On progressive slot machines, the jackpot can only be achieved if the player has bet the maximum amount. Otherwise, the player receives a fixed payment or he only manages to build the progressive jackpot for someone else. In order to win the progressive jackpot, remember to wager the maximum coins/credits on a progressive slot machine. The maximum bet will offer the best possible odds of winning, although it also means the wager will be larger.

For example, if a particular combination pays 5000 coins jackpot and a player has a line of $1 bet, then he will win $5,000 in credits. Suppose that the player doubles his investment and has a line of $2 bet, then he will earn $10,000 for the same jackpot. However, the advantage of placing a bigger bet on slots goes beyond simply increasing proportion of returns.

On video slots, the player doesn't need to play the maximum bet, as he only needs to activate the maximum number of paylines to qualify for the top prize.
On slots, the “Bet Max” button, placed to the right of the “Spin” button on the slot machine console, will allow you to bet the maximum number of coins with only one touch.

Let's take another example: If you bet 1 credit and you hit 3 cherries, you will receive 10 credits. If you bet 2 credits and you hit 3 cherries, you will receive 20 credits. But if you bet the maximum 3 credits, you would receive 50 credits!

There have been a number of slot machines, such as “Batman” and “Superman” from Cryptologic, on which players have received important benefits for their significant bets. The maximum bet on these slot machines is of 50 credits. But, if you activate the “Bonus Bet” option, you can bet 60 credits. The main advantage is that the bonus game may be activated only if the “Bonus Bet” has been activated. The bonus game offers payments of up to 100 times the original bet.

This “Bonus Bet” became so popular that Microgaming has introduced a similar feature in its recently launched “CashOccino” slot machine. This feature is called the “Extra Bet” and it increases the amount wagered by 50%.

If you do not afford to make the maximum bet, play a progressive machine with smaller stakes and pay-lines, or a slot machine that doesn't pay on progressive.
