The Backgammon is an extremely popular game for thousands of years, whose history began in the ancient Egypt and in the Middle East. The Backgammon's variations include several rules and vary depending on different cultures and parts of the globe.

The Backgammon is a game which depends on strategy, reflexion, but mostly on chance. This is why it is a very acclaimed game in the world of online games. Despite its strong popularity, the virtual backgammon clubs are still rare. It is also known as the Royal game of Ur.

The Acey-Deucey Backgammon
The Acey-Deucey is the most familiar Backgammon variation on American backgammon, which was invented by the US Navy sailors.
It was named after the roll 1-2, which is the best possible dice roll, as opposed to traditional backgammon rules. When a player rolls 1 and 2, he is rewarded with an additional roll and he can play any double after rolling 1-2 and before re-rolling.

The HyperGammon
The HyperGammon is the fastest Backgammon variation. Players get only three checkers, placed on the players' 1-point, 2-point and 3-point, instead of using the fifteen checkers as for a traditional American game.

The Nackgammon
This version is played with a different arrangement of the backgammon board, with 2 checkers on each player's 1 point and 2, 3 checkers on the 8-point and 4 checkers on the 6 and 12 points.
It was invented by the great California champion, Nack Ballard.

Russian Backgammon
The Russian Backgammon is a variant in which players start with no checkers on the board. The players advance their checkers in the same direction.

Chouette Backgammon
The Chouette Backgammon is a variation of backgammon played with a minimum of three players. A captain and a team play against the box. The game features the frequent use of the doubling cube, discussion and dispute of possible moves, and shifting rivalries among players.
